Step right up and discover the magic of Circus Arts!
This Spring, children ages 7–10 are invited to run away with the circus right here at the YWCA. Our Circus Arts program led by Merle Harlan, introduces kids to the exciting world of juggling, prop manipulation, and basic partner building in a fun, supportive environment.
Participants will learn to juggle scarves and balls, spin plates, and try beginner tricks using props like flower sticks and diabolo — all while building hand-eye coordination and confidence. Beyond the tricks, children will tap into their creativity, collaborate with peers, and experience the joy of learning something new and rewarding.
Merle is a professional stilt walker and circus arts instructor with over 10 years of experience teaching children floor and aerial circus acts, as well as a former gymnastics instructor.
